| I strongly recommend the services of Steve Dye and the Remax office in Kerrville. My family lives out of state and wished to sell a property in the Kerrville area. We initially found Steve’s web site on the internet, specifically an invitation to get an estimate of what a property in this area might be valued at. Using this tool we started an exchange with Steve regarding our property and asked his assistance in all phases, appraisal, advertising- the whole kitchen sink. Steve was extremely helpful in every aspect. There were a lot of big and little challenges, including getting the existing tenants/squatters to move out, getting an honest appraisal of the properties values, advertising it on many venues including the very good internet site. Our home sold for a fair price, without me having to leave my job and travel to Texas. Steve and his office were available by phone, fax, e-mail, and internet (and we used all of these). Steve was the consummate gentleman, a friend who I put my trust in site unseen, who did an outstanding job for us. I have bought and sold a number of homes as the military moved my family around the country for 29 years, this was probably the most challenging, but required the least personal effort. Steven Dye represented us recently in the sale of our inherited family estate home in Kerrville. We had never lived in Kerrville, so finding a good Kerrville realtor who could work with "out of town" owners was important to us. A short search led us to Steve, who was advertising that he specialized in the marketing of properties for out of town owners. I very much appreciated that Steve communicated documents with scanned pdf files, instead of fax, whenever possible. Steve kept us appraised of the status of remodeling work that needed to be completed, and arranged for maintenance tasks such as lawn care. | We were not familiar with hill country real estate when we first started looking at the area. While camping in the Medina Lake area, we drove by and looked at many areas where we could find some kind of sign of real estate for sale. We had already decided that the Texas hill country was where we wanted to retire in a few years. We finally ended up in Kerrville where we had stopped by another realtor's office to inquire about property for sale. When we told that realtor what we felt like we could spend she basically gave us little hope and instead of giving us leads she just gave us some addresses/directions and left us to search for ourselves. Needless to say we were frustrated and we had just started looking.
We returned home to north Texas and looked on the Internet for realtors in the Kerrville area and emailed them. We received a reply from only one realtor and Steven Dye was that one realtor. We scheduled another trip to Kerrville where we met with Mr. Dye over a 3 day period. He took us to many different lots and developments we never could have found on our own. Not only did he help us find our dream lot but he also fought hard to get the seller to meet our financial requirements for purchasing the property. We believe he more than went out of his way to help us, and with hill country property being the dream area for most everyone, we felt we were blessed to have someone like Steve on our side. We don't plan to retire for a couple of years, but our dream is becoming a reality with Steve's help.
