Texans who are wanting to dispute their property taxes please remember "Section 41.461 and 41.67"(d) of the property tax code. It basically says the appraisal district "must" supply you with the evidence they are going to use at your hearing 14 days before your hearing. When you file your protest be sure to request it. Virtually no one does. So you go into your hearing completely unprepared to refute their findings with evidence. Obtaining the evidence prior to your hearing improves your chances of obtaining a reduction.
